What are the responsibilities and job description for the 12046 - QA position at MSI Company?
We are hiring a QA/UI Specialist to make sure every release works and every app looks and behaves the same. You will test new features and releases before they reach users, run user acceptance testing with product managers, and own our UI standard: the shared look, layout and behavior of grids, filters, charts, forms and navigation across all our apps.
What you'll do
Quality assurance
- Write test plans and test cases from user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Test new features and every release before it goes to production: functional, regression, data accuracy and role-based access checks.
- Check that numbers on screens match the source data, working with SQL queries where needed.
- Build and maintain automated browser tests for key screens and workflows.
- Log, track and retest defects; give developers clear steps to reproduce.
- Run user acceptance testing with product managers and business users, and record sign-off as a release gate in our SDLC.
UI standard and usability
- Own our UI standard: layout, colors, fonts, grid behavior, filters, export, loading indicators and navigation.
- Review every new or changed screen against the standard before release, and keep the shared app template and component catalogue current.
- Create wireframes and mockups for new screens with product managers before development starts.
- Check screens on desktop, tablet and phone sizes, and for basic accessibility (contrast, keyboard use, labels).
- Gather user feedback on usability and turn it into improvements.
