Service Coordinator – Marine Diesel Engines
Location: Salmon Bay, Seattle, WA
Wage Range: $31.00 - $41.00
Bonus: Eligible for annual performance bonus
Schedule: Monday–Friday, standard business hours, with some overtime and weekend on-call rotation
Travel: Up to 25%
Direct Reports: Marine Engine Technicians
Driver’s License Required; TWIC card or ability to obtain one preferred

MSHS Pacific Power Group is seeking a structured, detail-driven Service Coordinator – Marine Diesel Engines to lead and support our marine service operations in Seattle. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, communicates persuasively, and can motivate and influence both internal teams and customers.
You will manage service repair orders, coordinate workloads for marine engine technicians, and ensure exceptional follow-through from job initiation to CLEAN billing. Success in this role requires a disciplined approach, strong organizational skills, and the ability to remain optimistic and adaptable amid shifting priorities.

What You’ll Do
- Lead and support a team of Marine Engine Technicians to ensure efficient and effective job execution
- Open, manage, and close Service Repair Orders (SROs) with precision and accuracy
- Coordinate communication across departments (service, parts, sales, logistics, and customers)
- Review estimates, POs, labor entries, and vendor invoices for billing accuracy
- Ensure CLEAN billing within 5 days of job completion
- Support collections and monitor open AR issues
- Track customer feedback, identify trends, and help drive service improvements
- Meet margin improvement goals through accurate planning, documentation, and execution
- Maintain an orderly, systematic workflow and ensure processes are followed
- Adapt quickly to urgent requests, priority changes, and unpredictable scenarios
- Represent MSHS with a positive, persuasive, and customer-focused communication style
- 3 years of experience in service coordination, operations, dispatch, or technical support
- Experience in a dynamic service environment requiring multitasking and rapid decision-making
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; able to influence and collaborate across teams
- High attention to detail with consistent follow-through
- Time-management excellence; able to manage competing priorities
- Experience with ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to travel up to 25%
- Self-motivated, dependable, and comfortable in a structured, process-driven environment
- Marine, maritime, diesel engine, or power-generation industry experience
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings and documents
- Prior experience supporting or leading field service technicians
- Experience improving workflows, efficiencies, or customer satisfaction processes
