Facilities Handyman

Monsignor Clarke School, Wakefield - RI $24–$28 per hour Monsignor Clarke School is seeking a dependable and skilled Part-Time Facilities Handyman to support the maintenance and care of our school building and grounds. This is a hands-on role for someone who takes pride in their work and enjoys solving problems. Schedule Monday through Friday, 2:00 PM to 5:30 PM Up to 20 hours per week Occasional evenings or weekends as needed Responsibilities Complete general building repairs including carpentry, painting, ceilings, floors, lighting, and minor plumbing Monitor and assist with basic building systems including HVAC and boiler Respond to maintenance requests and track completed work Coordinate with outside vendors and schedule required inspections Assist with event set-up and clean-up for graduations, Mass, and school events Support light landscaping, seasonal clean-up, and minor snow removal Work closely with custodial staff and school administration Respond to occasional after-hours or emergency needs Qualifications Experience in maintenance or handyman work preferred Basic knowledge of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems Strong problem-solving and time management skills Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks Basic computer skills including email and scheduling Reliable, responsive, and proactive Having a “truck” to help move things like chairs, etc. is helpful but not required.
