Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the first point of contact for internal IT support requests (accounts, basic hardware/software issues, connectivity, printers, etc.), escalating more complex issues to external IT or vendors as needed.
- Provide day-to-day application support for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central across finance, sales, purchasing, and warehouse operations, including:
- Troubleshooting user errors in AR, AP, purchasing, sales orders, and warehouse documents.
- Guiding users through correct workflows for posting, approvals, matching, and corrections.
- Logging and tracking issues, identifying recurring problems, and proposing fixes or training.
- Support warehouse and inventory processes in BC:
- Item setup, units of measure, locations, and bins.
- Warehouse receipts/shipments, picks and putaways, transfers between locations.
- Inventory adjustments, cycle counts, and resolving on hand quantity discrepancies.
- Work closely with warehouse, operations, and finance to ensure BC transactions reflect physical movements and shipments accurately and on time.
- Manage and triage a shared help desk/ticket queue, ensuring timely responses and clear communication to end users.
- Create and maintain user documentation, quick reference guides, and simple training materials for Business Central and other key systems.
- Assist with user onboarding and offboarding (accounts, permissions, basic device setup) in coordination with external IT providers.
- Support small configuration updates and role/permission changes in Business Central under direction from the Senior System Administrator; participate in testing when new BC features, integrations, or process changes are rolled out.
- 2–5 years in an IT help desk, application support, or business systems support role.
- Hands on experience supporting an ERP or similar business system; Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or Dynamics NAV experience strongly preferred.
- Experience supporting distribution or warehouse operations in an ERP (receiving, picking, shipping, inventory transactions).
- Strong troubleshooting skills; able to distinguish user errors, process gaps, and basic configuration issues.
- Understanding of core business processes: AP, AR, purchasing, sales orders, and inventory/warehouse flows.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; able to explain technical topics in plain language and train nontechnical users.
- Highly organized and able to manage multiple tickets and priorities in a fast paced environment.
- Service oriented and patient; enjoys helping colleagues solve problems and improve their use of systems.
- Curious and proactive; willing to dig into Business Central and learn how processes connect across finance and warehouse operations.
