What are the responsibilities and job description for the Coating Room Manufacturer position at MSC - North America?
Monday-Thursday 9:00pm -7:00am EST
BRIEF POSITION SUMMARY:
Regrind, recondition and/or manufacture cutting tools per instructions.
DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Clean tools utilizing the ultrasonic dip tanks, according to instructions.
- Operated the autoclave washing machines.
- Steam clean coolant holes, to ensure they are unobstructed.
- Operate the polish peen blast cabinet.
- Return tooling to proper location after completion of work order instruction
- Assemble loads for the coating vessel.
- Operate the coating vessel and troubleshoot small problems.
- Operate the cleaning vessels.
- Complete paperwork according to work instructions.
- Report & communicate daily to Department Lead and/or Production Manager
- Other duties as assigned from time to time by upper management
- Drives the MSC Culture in the department and throughout the company to ensure fulfillment of MSC’s vision and unity of purpose.
- Participation in special projects and performs additional duties as required
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:
- High School Graduate w/ basic math skills
SKILLS:
- Ability to perform several tasks simultaneously
- Ability to read blueprints
- Ability to read work order instructions
- Ability to train others
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Minimal hazards. General shop working conditions.
8 weeks on-site job training with other Tru-Edge associate – work 100% checked
