 PMO Associate


The Role & Key Responsibilities:

Role

Within the Program Management Office (PMO) Team and under its governance and methodology guidelines, the PMO Associate is to work with Program’s staff and the Development Team to ensure governance process is followed and projects and other business initiatives are completed on time.

Reporting to the PMO lead, the PMO Associate will handle the administration of PMO process and tools used by staff.

He/she will, along with the Project Managers and Program Management, contribute to preparing PMO reporting, managing tools and follow-up actions.

The PMO Associate will manage and facilitate projects.

 

Responsibilities

 Management

  • Manage program management tools (Ex: SharePoint; Azure DevOps; Power BI)
  • Maintain a central storehouse of templates and documentation (SharePoint)
  • Maintain guides, templates and project portfolio dashboard and tools to help Project Managers follow the PMO procedure
  • Support program monitoring (timelines, deliverables, and implementation)
  • Organize meetings
  • Create project plans with objectives and milestones
  • Ensure proper resources are allocated to meet deadlines and quality requirements
  • Proactively escalate solutions to roadblocks

Contribution Additional Responsibilities

  • Ensure corporate process and procedures are followed by team
  • Support effective communication with program team and all involved stakeholders
  • Follow-up required action plans
  • Perform audits and PMO reporting
  • Assist in governing project risk and issues practice
  • Be a contributor in the development of staff training material

Additional Responsibilities

  •  Deal with transversal issues, be proactive and pragmatic in solution findings
  •  Exchange regularly with the Application Development Team to keep up-to-date various administrative documents

 

Functional and Hierarchical Reporting

 The position will report to PMO lead.

 

Location

Full Time, Hybrid position in Warren, New Jersey.

Candidate MUST be able to reliably commute daily.

Availability for occasional travel as required

Qualifications and Experience

  • At least 2 years of PMO or project management experience (R)
  • Experience in IT project development (P)   
  • Qualification in project management or equivalent (P)
  • Project Planning and Estimating (P)
  • Knowledge in shipping/transport industry (P)
  • Knowledge of Agile methodology (Scrum) (P)

Technical:

  • MS Office Products (especially Excel and PowerPoint) (R)
  • Basic programming skills (R)
  • Experience of Power BI (R)
  • Good experience of SharePoint (Office 365) (P)
  • Knowledge of Azure DevOps (P)
  • Project management techniques and tools (R)

Other:

  • Excellent English communication skills (oral and written) (R)
