The offer
- Role: Reliability Technician for facility, utilities, and conveyor systems
- Employment Type: Full Time
- Category: Warehouse/Distribution
- Location: Reno, NV (Whse)
- Shift: 2nd Shift, Monday–Friday, 2:00 pm–11:00 pm
- Compensation: $21.27/hour
- Own the reliability of the CFC building, exterior areas, grounds, utilities, and fixtures.
- Apply carpentry, electrical, and HVAC fundamentals to maintain structures and systems.
- Service and improve the conveyor network and related warehouse equipment.
- Carry out preventive maintenance to reduce unplanned downtime.
- Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic issues.
- Read and act on building/machine drawings to resolve problems.
- Fix facility damage including floors, dock doors, and lighting.
- Maintain accurate equipment files and records.
- Operate MHE and conveyors: electric pallet jack, forklift, turret truck, and order picker.
- Model safe work practices; assist with OSHA compliance; follow SOPs and champion our Safety Culture.
- Join safety teams, raise suggestions, and partner with supervisors to identify and mitigate risks.
- Hit quality and productivity goals; uphold MSC’s culture and mission.
- Handle tasks like sorting/matching departmental reports, cleaning spills, and supporting special projects.
- When needed, step into receiving to inspect shipments and verify items/quantities in our fast‑moving environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Three years of maintenance experience (or equivalent)
- Working knowledge of carpentry techniques
- Basic computer literacy
- Ability to interpret hydraulics, electrical information, and pneumatics
- Lift up to 75 lbs (solo or team), push/pull, carry
- Sit, stand, and walk for extended periods
- Climb stairs; work at heights up to 50 feet
- Balance, stoop, kneel, bend repeatedly; reach high/low; perform repetitive wrist/hand motions
- Wear PPE as required; maintain strong vision/hearing and mental alertness across the shift
- Obtain internal certification to operate warehouse vehicles within the defined timeframe
