3rd Shift - 11:00 pm - 7:00 am - Monday through Friday
Starting Pay $27.35/hr $1.00 shift differential
Pay Grade HR140

MSA Safety in Cranberry Township, PA is hiring for a Production Technician II for Final Assembly. This position is primarily responsible for:
- Assembly, applying calibration gas, and tests, including set-up, of moderately complex instruments and/or sub-assemblies requiring wiring and soldering. May be required to improvise methods and equipment setups using basic electronics knowledge. May be required to pick parts from the warehouse.
- Visual inspection and performing minor repairs.
- Completing and maintaining relevant paperwork and inputs information in computer system.
Qualifications
- Minimum 18 months electronics manufacturing or other related experience required.
- Requires considerable on-the-job training and/or vocational training.
- Past soldering experience required.
- Past experience building level I instruments preferred.
- Length of time required to become proficient on the job, producing work of acceptable quality and quantity is from 7-12 months.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Associates Degree in electronics or electronic technology required.
- In lieu of degree, 3 years of experience working in the permanent instrument area required.
- Demonstrated proficiency in soldering.
- read and understand drawings, work instructions and test procedures.
- use a variety of test equipment.
- read wiring diagrams.
- understand standard units of measure.
- set-up and interpret results of various measuring devices, including oscilloscopes and volt meters.
- perform standard software operations including SAP.
- sometimes lift, carry, push and pull up to 50 pounds without assistance.
- use power and hand tools, and ability to use custom tooling.
- regularly perform fine finger and hand activity / steady hand required.
- effectively communicate with various levels within the organization including training of new associates and temporaries.
- work independently with minimal supervision.
- prioritize and organize work.
- Stand, sit and/or move around for full shift.
- in a production plant environment with limited exposure to elements such as dust, noise, or temperature changes.
- with moderate exposure to mechanical, electrical, fire, or other hazards.
- with moderate exposure to small amount of various chemicals such as isopropyl alcohol and methopropranpynal alcohol.
- with regular exposure to compressed toxic gasses during calibration.
- Safety glasses and steel toes shoes.
- Other PPE may be required per Job Safety Analysis.
- Individuals with pace makers may be prohibited from working in specific work areas due to the operation of UV ovens.
