Engineering Intern/Co-Op

• Work alongside the Globe Engineering Team (Ada, OK) to improve processes with process improvement and lean activities such as time studies, methods analysis, and Kaizen events
• Create production assembly documents (e.g. OMS, Work Instructions)
• Collect work measurement samples through time study methods
• Create and maintain bill of materials and production routings
• Update production floor layout (equipment and workstation) using AutoCAD
• Manage and improve production costs through analysis and reduction efforts
• Participate in Lean, Kaizen, 6S and Value Stream Mapping activities

Special knowledge, skills and abilities required:

• Basic experience with data analysis methods and graphing
• Creative problem-solving skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Proficient use of Microsoft Office Tools, with a special emphasis on Excel and Access  

 Education and experience preferred:

• Must be pursuing a Bachelors in Industrial Engineering, or other relevant Engineering discipline, from an ABET-accredited program, and have completed at least one semester of Sophomore year before beginning this co-op rotation.
