Duties
- Prepare and generate accurate invoices using billing software and accounting systems such as QuickBooks, Sage, and PeopleSoft
- Reconcile accounts receivable and ensure timely collection of outstanding payments
- Perform account analysis and journal entries to maintain proper financial records in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
- Manage collections accounts by following up on overdue payments and resolving discrepancies efficiently
- Conduct data entry with precision, utilizing Excel formulas and spreadsheets for analysis and reporting purposes
- Collaborate with clients via phone or email to clarify billing issues, provide account updates, and ensure customer satisfaction
- Assist with accounts payable processes, including invoice verification and processing within financial software systems
Experience
- Proven experience in accounting or finance roles with a focus on invoicing, accounts receivable, or collections management
- Familiarity with financial software such as QuickBooks, Sage, PeopleSoft, or similar platforms
- Strong understanding of GAAP, SOX compliance (Sarbanes-Oxley Act), and technical accounting principles
- Demonstrated ability to perform Excel data analysis using formulas, pivot tables, and account reconciliation techniques
- Experience working in public accounting or corporate finance environments preferred
- Excellent communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced setting
