Summary
MS Technology, Inc. is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support engineering and design activities for complex industrial and advanced technology facilities. This role will support the design, development, and integration of mechanical systems and equipment within multidisciplinary engineering teams. The Mechanical Engineer will contribute to projects involving process systems, facility infrastructure, and mechanical equipment while ensuring designs meet technical, safety, and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
- Support the design and analysis of mechanical systems and equipment for industrial and facility applications
- Develop engineering calculations, technical specifications, and design documentation
- Prepare and review mechanical drawings, layouts, and system design packages
- Coordinate with process, electrical, instrumentation and controls, and structural engineers to ensure integrated system design
- Support equipment selection, procurement specifications, and vendor coordination
- Participate in design reviews and technical evaluations
- Assist with installation planning, testing, and commissioning activities as needed
- Ensure designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and project requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline
- 3 years of experience in mechanical engineering or mechanical system design
- Experience supporting complex industrial or process facility projects
- Experience with mechanical systems such as pumps, piping, valves, heat exchangers, or process equipment
- Strong technical documentation and engineering design skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary engineering teams
- Active or previous DOE Q Clearance, or ability to obtain
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting projects in regulated environments such as nuclear, chemical processing, or advanced manufacturing
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain
- Familiarity with mechanical design codes and standards (ASME, ANSI, etc.)
- Experience with mechanical design software or CAD tools such as AutoCAD or SolidWorks
- Experience supporting equipment installation, testing, or commissioning activities
