About Us
We are a growing commercial doors, frames, and hardware company specializing in supplying and managing projects across multifamily, commercial, industrial, hospitality, healthcare, and institutional construction sectors. We are looking for an experienced Project Manager who understands the construction process from start to finish and has extensive knowledge of commercial doors and hardware systems.
Position Summary
The Project Manager will oversee multiple commercial construction projects involving hollow metal doors and frames, wood doors, finish hardware, access control coordination, and specialty openings. This role requires strong technical knowledge of Division 8 products, the ability to manage project schedules and subcontractors, and confidence coordinating with general contractors, architects, vendors, installers, and field teams.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of managing complex construction timelines while ensuring projects remain on schedule and within budget.
Responsibilities
- Manage commercial door and hardware projects from award through closeout
- Review construction documents, specifications, hardware sets, and submittals
- Coordinate with general contractors, architects, suppliers, installers, and internal teams
- Oversee project scheduling, procurement, material tracking, and delivery coordination
- Interpret architectural drawings and construction specifications
- Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation
- Ensure compliance with fire ratings, ADA requirements, life safety codes, and hardware standards
- Coordinate installation sequencing with field personnel and subcontractors
- Track project budgets, billing, and overall profitability
- Resolve jobsite issues quickly and professionally
- Attend project meetings and maintain strong client relationships
- Monitor timelines to ensure projects are completed on time and within scope
Qualifications
- Extensive knowledge of commercial doors, frames, and hardware required
- Minimum 3–5 years of project management experience in construction
- Strong understanding of commercial construction processes and jobsite coordination
- Ability to read and interpret architectural plans and specifications
- Experience with hardware schedules, submittals, and procurement
- Familiarity with fire-rated openings, ADA compliance, and life safety requirements
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, project management software, and construction documentation systems
- Strong problem-solving and leadership abilities
Preferred Qualifications
- AHC, DHI, or related industry certifications preferred
- Experience with access control and electrified hardware coordination is a plus
- Experience working with subcontractors and installation crews
- Knowledge of commercial estimating and takeoffs is beneficial
