Buccaneer State Park is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Aquatic Director to oversee all aquatic operations at Buccaneer State Park. The Aquatic Director will be responsible for ensuring the safety and enjoyment of all patrons while maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive aquatic programs for all age groups, including swimming lessons, water aerobics, and recreational swimming.
- Hire, train, and supervise lifeguards, swim instructors, and other aquatic staff members.
- Maintain a safe swimming environment by enforcing all pool rules and regulations.
- Conduct regular inspections of pool facilities and equipment to ensure they meet safety standards.
- Create and manage budgets for aquatic programs, supplies, and maintenance.
- Coordinate with park management and other departments to schedule pool hours, special events, and maintenance tasks.
- Respond promptly and effectively to emergencies, including water rescues and medical incidents.
- Promote community engagement and participation in aquatic programs through outreach and marketing efforts.
- Monitor water quality and chemical levels to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Keep accurate records of attendance, incidents, and maintenance activities.

Pay: $56,345.00 - $64,325.00 per year
