Job Title: Electronic Technician – PLC / Controls | 2nd & 3rd Shift
Employment Type: Full-Time | On-site | Direct Hire
Location: Pleasant Prairie, WI
Compensation: $33.00–$34.00/hour
MS Companies is recruiting on behalf of a confidential, well-established manufacturing organization in Pleasant Prairie, WI for multiple Electronic Technician openings.
These are full-time, direct-hire positions supporting advanced manufacturing equipment in a clean, modern production environment.
This is not a facilities or warehouse-maintenance position. We are specifically seeking technicians who have worked directly with manufacturing/production equipment and are comfortable troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, electronic, PLC, and controls-related issues.
Compensation & Schedule
Base Pay: $33.00–$34.00/hour
Shift Premium: $1.50/hour
2nd Shift: 3:00 PM–11:00 PM
3rd Shift: 11:00 PM–7:00 AM
Candidates must be comfortable working one of these off-shift schedules.

What You’ll Be Doing
This is a hands-on troubleshooting and equipment-reliability role supporting industrial production machinery.
Responsibilities include:
- Troubleshooting electrical, electronic, mechanical, and controls-related equipment failures
- Reading and troubleshooting PLC logic
- Diagnosing AC/DC motors, VFDs, motor-control circuits, and hardwired relay logic
- Troubleshooting single-phase and three-phase electrical systems
- Reading electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, OEM manuals, and technical drawings
- Performing preventive and predictive maintenance
- Using multimeters, voltmeters, ohmmeters, oscilloscopes, and other electrical test equipment
- Performing instrumentation calibration, equipment alignment, and component replacement
- Troubleshooting and repairing production/manufacturing equipment
- Supporting electrical wiring, conduit, receptacle, and component repairs
- Maintaining accurate maintenance and equipment records
- Identifying opportunities to improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime
These responsibilities directly reflect the hiring team’s emphasis on PLC troubleshooting, motor and relay controls, schematics, electrical test equipment, and hands-on production-equipment troubleshooting.
What We’re Looking For
Strong candidates will bring:
- Meaningful hands-on experience in a manufacturing or production environment
- Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills
- PLC troubleshooting experience
- Experience with industrial controls and electrical control circuits
- Motor-control and hardwired relay-logic experience
- Ability to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
- Experience using electrical testing equipment
- Experience troubleshooting industrial production machinery
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work onsite in Pleasant Prairie, WI
- Ability to successfully complete required pre-employment screening
Approximately 5 years of industrial manufacturing maintenance, electronics, controls, or related technical experience is highly preferred.
Candidates whose experience is exclusively in facilities, warehousing, or distribution without meaningful manufacturing-equipment experience are unlikely to align with this position.
