Housekeeper

GENERAL PURPOSE:

To perform day-to-day environmental cleaning of resident rooms and other interior and exterior facility areas and to assist in maintaining a positive environment, clean, safe work areas and residents’ areas.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must have the ability to read, write, and follow oral and written directions at a level necessary to accomplish the job.
• Must be able to relate positively and favorably to residents and families and to work cooperatively with other associates.
• Must be capable of maintaining regular attendance.
• Must meet all health regulations as required, and pass post-employment physical exam if required.
• Must be capable of performing the Essential Job Functions of this job with or without reasonable accommodation.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Cleaning Functions: Duties- Clean and straighten (including dust mopping, vacuuming, wiping dusting, polishing, arranging or rearranging furniture and object. Etc.) In resident rooms, offices, storage areas according to facility procedures; clean and sanitize toilet and hand washing areas; collect and dispose of trash. Clean spills, soiled areas, and other conditions as observed or directed.

Safety and Sanitation Functions: Duties- Understand and follow fire, safety, sanitations, infection control, Blood-Borne Pathogen rules, Hazard Communication Programs and promptly report any violations to supervisor; report any hazardous conditions, equipment, accidents and incidents to supervisor.

Residents’ Rights Functions: Duties- Understand, comply with, and promote all rules regarding residents’ rights.

In-Service Functions: Duties- Attend orientation, in-service, and other continuing educations activities required by regulations or their facility.

Job Types: Part-time, Full-time
