What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse (Book Company) position at Mrs. Nelson's Book Company?
Mrs. Nelson's Book Company provides K-12 schools across the country with books for their classrooms and libraries. We are currently hiring for summer positions (May-September) in our book bindery.
Our bindery converts paperback books into hardcovers using several machines like paper cutters and gluing machines. You don’t need any prior experience, the machines and we train all new employees on every aspect of each machine. Each station has an hourly production quota and there are three stations that offer production bonuses for employees that can produce above our basic quotas. Our bindery needs employees for both our day shift (6am-2:30). Pay for the day shift is $16 per hour.
This job requires the following:
- Reliable transportation
- Employees must arrive on time and not frequently miss work
- Must speak English
- Must be able to work in a high paced environment and manage your own time
- Attention to detail and ability to produce work without too many errors
Our warehouse is not climate controlled so it gets hot in the summer. Employees must be able to stand for the duration of your shift and lift up to 50 pounds. Our company is a small business with a great work atmosphere. Many of our employees have been here for over five years. We are currently growing quickly and need help in our warehouse.
