ABOUT THE COMPANY

Mrs. Gerry’s was founded in 1973 in Albert Lea, Minnesota. Mrs. Gerry’s is a premier salad and side manufacturer and offers 120 different products which are sold coast to coast. We are looking for great team members who desire a friendly work environment and want to learn how we create delicious fresh potato salad, warm mashed potatoes, cold pasta salads, zesty dips and more. Our products enable families and friends to celebrate around the dinner or picnic table every day.

STARTING WAGE: $21.30 per hour

HOURS: 10:00pm – 6:30am (end time my vary due to business needs)

SUMMER HOURS: 5:00pm - 5:00am, Monday through Friday. Due to seasonal business, our hours may adjust to meet production needs.

DAYS: Sunday through Thursday

SUMMARY

The Mashed Potato Line Operator is responsible for the operations of mixing and packaging of sides products. During which times sides lines are not in operation, this person will perform various other duties as needed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Know and follow HACCP and SQF programs.

• Know and follow all Food Safety procedures.
• Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Wear all required personal protective equipment. For more information see policy.
• Learn all aspects of processing including set up and operations of all equipment and processes.
• Learn all aspects of the clean room including set-up, operation, CIP’S, tear down and procedures.
• Learn to operate and monitor spiral chiller.
• Learn all aspects of packaging including equipment operation and procedures.
• Good communication skills and ability to work with a team.
• All other duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL DUTIES

• May need to lift up to 50 pounds and/or move up to 100 pounds.
• Able to stand, sit, walk, push, pull, reach, stoop, kneel, twist, walk, utilize stairs, etc.
• Able to use hands to perform tasks associated with the position.
• Alert to surroundings to ensure safety for self and others. Able to hear the horn of a forklift, machinery, individuals providing instructions, emergency sirens, and more.
• Vision abilities include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and adjust eyesight to focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Characteristic of a manufacturing facility.
• Cool temperatures due to perishable product manufacturing.
• Noise level is moderate and hearing protection is required.
• Exposed to chemicals for sanitizing equipment and floors. Personal protective equipment is mandatory.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

May need to obtain forklift and/or pallet jack license.
