Batching Prep will be responsible for preparing ingredients to be used in various recipes.
Schedule: Monday–Fridays; Start time is 6:00 AM year-round, with a varying end time. Occasionally changes to work schedule may occur due to production or training needs.
What You’ll Do
As our 1st Shift Batching Prep, you’ll:
- Learn and follow MGK HACCP, SQF, SOP, and SSOP programs.
- Learn and follow all Food Safety procedures.
- Wear all required personal protective equipment.
- Read and follow recipe to gather all required ingredients in specified amounts.
- Prepare, measure, and weigh ingredients for assigned recipe and station.
- Verify ingredient quality and notify assigned Supervisor and Quality Control if there are quality questions and/or concerns.
- Track and record all lot numbers on tracking sheets.
- Label containers per required procedures.
- Support inventory tracking efforts.
- Additional duties as assigned.
What You Bring to the Table
- Safety conscious
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED), 1-3 months of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
- Ability to read and comprehend documentation in English including safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
- Utilize calculators to add, subtract, multiply, and divide all units of measure including whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to obtain forklift and/or pallet jack license.
- Ability to lift and/or carry occasionally up to 40 pounds.
