Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Check drivers in and out, verifying load details, appointments, and required documentation.
- Coordinate daily dock activity in a fast-paced environment handling a variety of freight including full truckloads and LTL shipments.
- Assign and prioritize tasks for shipping and receiving staff in alignment with the Warehouse Manager’s daily staffing plan.
- Monitor dock flow throughout the shift and adjust work assignments to maintain efficiency and minimize delays.
- Collaborate with receiving and production teams to plan inbound product placement and manage dock availability.
- Communicate regularly with the Supply Chain team regarding order status, dock scheduling, and truck arrivals/departures.
- Ensure accurate processing and filing of shipping and receiving paperwork according to company standards.
- Track and update shipment status to maintain visibility of inbound and outbound loads.
- Address issues such as schedule changes, documentation discrepancies, or carrier delays in a timely and professional manner.
Qualifications: - 2 years of experience in warehouse, shipping/receiving, logistics coordination, or dock operations preferred.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple trucks, priorities, and tasks simultaneously.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with drivers, warehouse staff, and internal departments.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize work, delegate tasks, and maintain efficient dock flow.
- Experience handling shipping and receiving documentation with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic computer skills and experience with warehouse management systems, shipping software, or ERP systems preferred.
- Ability to problem-solve quickly and adjust to schedule changes, freight delays, or operational challenges.
- Ability to work on your feet in a warehouse environment and frequently lift up to 20 lbs.
Hours:
Monday - Friday 7a-3:30p, some flexibility in scheduling may be required
