mroads is looking for a "MicroStrategy Analyst/Developer" for one of the direct clients in McLean, VA. This is a hybrid role (1 day in a week).
Responsibilities:

Required Skills:
• Minimum Years of Experience: three (5) years in the field of analytics
• Minimum Years of Experience: two (3) years creating reports, dashboards, and/or summarizing large amounts of data into actionable intelligence to drive business decisions
• Experience with leading Business Intelligence tools, preferably MicroStrategy or Tableau
• Proven knowledge in data warehousing, SQL and data management concepts, preferably in Amazon RedShift or other columnar database management systems
• Proven experience with data management tools like Informatica, SSIS or Alteryx for data transfer and preparation.
• Demonstrated hands-on experience using SQL for ad-hoc queries, performing data profiling. Must be comfortable writing complex queries and creating/ troubleshooting stored procedures
• Experience creating detailed process documentation and conducting knowledge transfer
• Effective communication and problem solving skills
• Advanced Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and presentation skills
Preferred Skills:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or other analytical field
• Functional experience in hospitality
• End-to-end understanding of the data flow process (from ingestion to consumption layer)
• Solid working experience with surrounding and supporting disciplines (data quality, data operations, data modelling, BI/Data WH/Data Lake)
• Experience using R, Python or other statistical analysis & data mining tools is a plus
• Experience with process improvement (Six-Sigma) is a plus
• Familiarity with Agile Project Management is preferred
• Effective communicator, collaborator, influencer, solution seeker across variety of opinions
• Self-starter, well organized, extremely detail-oriented and an assertive team player, willing to take ownership of responsibilities, and possess a high level of positive energy and drive.
