Job Description
The Project Manager has overall responsibility for the successful execution of assigned projects.
- The Project Manager will work closely with the client, internal, and external resources to achieve the client’s objectives and our fiscal goals.
- Preparing and leading informational meetings and working with construction management and/or site leads is critical to the success of each project.
- Responsibilities include customer coordination of resources needed to achieve design intent, quality and value engineering, prototyping, manufacturing, delivery, installation, and on-going customer support.
- This role manages large corporate restaurant and retail clients and will require knowledge of architectural drawings to complete scope takeoffs, use of tracking templates to ensure on schedule deliveries, site visits to verify critical measurements and site conditions.
- Basic knowledge of project financial data tracking and analysis required.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with the client to clearly define goals, objectives and expectations and develop the necessary support and production plan.
- Create the project timeline and manage the project with department heads to achieve the objectives.
- Input, update, and monitor ERP system details for Sales Orders and Work Orders associated with your projects.
- Monitor prototype development and production from physical products, on-time delivery, and budgetary standpoints.
- Actively work with client and internal teams to insure on-time delivery of the project.
- Work with client representatives to develop corrective actions when appropriate.
- Develop quality and value-engineering opportunities with the engineering and production departments and review with the client for the collective benefit.
- Work closely with materials management, production supervisor and scheduling to ensure good raw material, work-in-progress, and finished goods flow to meet the client’s timetable.
- Develop pricing estimates for existing and potential clients using our Estimating template.
- Work closely with material management to manage inventory to maximize turns and reduce waste.
- Work with subcontract resources – visiting locations and conducting quality checks, as necessary.
Qualifications/Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Engineering, Construction Management, or Architecture preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in project management in the store fixtures, construction, or millwork, casework, or similar industry
- Personal drive to contribute to continuous improvement within an organization
- Great analytical, problem solving, and communication skills combined with strong interpersonal relationship abilities
- Ability to read blueprints and do material take-offs
- Strong Microsoft skills and MRP fundamentals
- Global Shop experience a plus
- Ability to travel to job sites across USA locations (minimal travel likely, but need to be able to fly to locations as required)
