The role of the Purchasing Coordinator is to work closely with the Project Managers, Engineering team, and Production team to ensure materials are being ordered through the ERP system purchase order process on a daily basis. This role also tracks PO due dates and confirms orders will arrive as promised. The Purchasing Coordinator will also send RFI’s and RFQ’s to suppliers. This may include assisting the Estimating department in obtaining price quotes for active client proposal requests or helping to reduce costs once jobs are awarded compared to how they were bid. This person must be a collaborative individual who establishes accurate and efficient work processes while also exploring ways to achieve improved results.
About the role:
Our Precision Metals division is searching for Metal Fabricators to play a key role in the successful execution of assigned projects. This is a position that requires the highest level of attention to detail, drive, and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively. You will be assigned projects that are varied, complex and require the utmost skill to create precision products for our clients.
MRO Built looks to promote from within when possible. This position will also hold opportunities for learning new skills and advancement into supervision or other technical roles.
What you will be doing:
- This position will be part of the Metal Fabrication team who will work closely with the engineering and project management group to understand the client’s design and function intent and then go execute the product builds.
- You will be expected to become highly proficient across multiple disciplines including: TIG/MIG & laser welding, cutting, grinding, drilling, shaping and deburring.
- You may also be expected to become highly proficient with the press brake, creating complex operations in an accurate and efficient manner.
- You will have the opportunity to hone your craft on challenging, meaningful projects while working for an employee centered company.
What you need to be able to do:
- Read and successfully interpret blueprints and shop drawings. When necessary, ask questions to ensure the intent is being met.
- TIG & MIG welding basics are a minimum but possessing the determination to become one of the best.
- Press Brake operations are highly desirable, and those positions are also needed.
- Assure your projects are complete, accurate and on schedule.
- Ensure quality of workmanship and product.
- Ability to work overtime when necessary to meet client needs.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $31.00 per hour
