Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and timely repairs on a variety of arcade game hardware and electronic systems
- Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues using schematics, test equipment such as ohmmeters, and diagnostic tools to identify root causes
- Use hand tools and mechanical knowledge to replace or repair components including circuit boards, wiring, motors, and displays
- Maintain detailed service records, work logs, and inventory of spare parts to ensure efficient workflow
- Collaborate with team members to diagnose complex problems involving computer hardware, low voltage systems, and computer networking components
- Follow safety protocols related to low voltage electrical systems and ensure compliance with industry standards during all repair activities
- Assist in upgrading equipment firmware or software to enhance performance and user experience
Skills
- Proven experience in field service or as a service technician working with electronic or gaming equipment
- Strong mechanical aptitude combined with hands-on experience using hand tools for repairs and maintenance
- Knowledge of computer hardware components, schematics reading, and troubleshooting network connectivity issues
- Familiarity with equipment repair procedures involving circuit boards, wiring diagrams, and low voltage electrical systems
- Ability to interpret schematics accurately for diagnosing electrical faults
- Experience working with ohmmeters or similar diagnostic tools for electrical testing
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive attitude towards equipment maintenance and troubleshooting
