Exception Services Manager

An award-winning financial institution is seeking an experienced Exception Services Manager to join our dynamic team. This critical role oversees daily operations related to Day 2 transactions, adjustments, and exception item processing, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and minimizing operational risk.

What You'll Do:

• Lead, coach, and develop the Exception Services team, fostering a high-performance culture.
• Manage the workflow to ensure timely processing of all Day 2 transactions and exception items in compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
• Prepare the department for business continuity and disaster recovery scenarios.
• Monitor and report on departmental volumes, performance metrics, and notable accomplishments.
• Maintain and update departmental policies and procedures for exception processing.
• Support Day 1 activities during critical periods, providing backup and leadership.
• Conduct regular staff meetings to drive communication and alignment.

What You'll Bring:

• 35 years of relevant banking operations experience, ideally in exception processing or adjustment management.
• Associates degree (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
• Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
