Key Responsibilities
- Safety Leadership: Demonstrate and promote solid safety behaviors, ensuring all employees comply with safety procedures.
- Production Management: Take full responsibility for managing staff, production, and quality targets during your shift.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure products meet specified quality standards, holding employees accountable for adherence to quality systems.
- Team Management: Develop and motivate direct reporting staff, fostering a productive and cohesive team environment.
- Performance Monitoring: Track and report on production process performance, addressing any issues that arise promptly.
- Communication: Maintain effective communication with all team members, ensuring clarity on objectives and tasks.
- Health and Safety Compliance: Enforce health and safety rules and procedures, addressing any related issues during the shift.
- Problem Solving: Utilize problem-solving skills and root cause analysis to resolve production issues efficiently.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other Shift Supervisors to ensure smooth production handovers and continuity.
- Training and Development: Ensure employees are trained for their tasks safely and efficiently, supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
- Resource Optimization: Manage company resources effectively to optimize operating costs.
- Education: High School diploma required; some college or Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Experience: 2-3 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment preferred, or demonstrated experience without formal supervision.
- Skills:
- Strong safety, productivity, and quality improvement experience.
- Proficiency in root cause analysis.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Advanced computer skills (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
- Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Customer-focused mindset with strong leadership and influencing skills.
- Results-oriented and collaborative approach.
- Salary Range: $70,000 - $95,000 per year.
