Job Overview

This position is located in Atlanta Ga We are seeking a dedicated and skilled MRI Technologist (ARRT) to join our dynamic imaging team on a full-time basis. In this vital role, you will operate advanced MRI scanners to produce high-quality diagnostic images that assist physicians in accurate patient diagnosis and treatment planning. Your expertise in medical imaging, patient safety, and equipment operation will ensure exceptional patient care and optimal imaging outcomes. Responsibilities

  • Operate MRI scanners safely and efficiently to acquire diagnostic images, ensuring adherence to all safety protocols and regulations.
  • Prepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining the process, positioning them correctly, and ensuring their comfort throughout the scan.
  • Perform additional imaging procedures such as CT scans, DEXA scans (for bone density measurement), sonography, and vascular access as needed to support comprehensive diagnostic evaluation.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of imaging procedures, including patient information, technical parameters, and image quality assessments.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to optimize image quality and facilitate accurate diagnosis.
  • Ensure all medical equipment is operated following safety procedures, including aseptic techniques and proper maintenance of MRI scanners and related devices.
  • Manage Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS) for storing, retrieving, and transmitting medical images securely.
  • Adhere strictly to patient safety regulations, infection control standards, and radiation safety guidelines during all procedures.

Qualifications

  • Certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI).
  • Proven experience operating MRI scanners with a solid understanding of medical imaging principles.
  • Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, radiology terminology, and diagnostic radiology practices.
  • Skilled in performing CT scans, DEXA scans, sonography, vascular access procedures, IV insertion, and other diagnostic imaging techniques.
  • Strong understanding of medical equipment operation, safety procedures, and image acquisition for patient care.
  • Basic life support (BLS) certification required for emergency response preparedness.
  • Excellent patient care skills with a focus on patient safety, comfort, and communication.
  • Familiarity with Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS), medical terminology, and equipment safety protocols is highly preferred.
