Position Summary
MRI Hotels is seeking an experienced Area General Manager to oversee operational performance and leadership across six to eight hotel properties within the portfolio.
Key Roles:
· Learn brand standards for each brand
· Identify areas where hotels are not meeting brand standards
· Ensure hotels are in compliance with MRI Hotels policies
· Perform QA at each hotel
· Assist hotels in any way needed (payroll analysis, hiring, renovations, brand changes, hardware refresh, etc.)
· Area General Manager must know how to perform all hotel level tasks and positions.
If a hotel GM is terminated or quits, the Area General Manager must be able to move to that property to fill that role until a new GM is hired.
The position is based in South Charlotte, NC, with travel to portfolio hotels 1-2 days per week or longer when stepping in for a departed GM. Travel is reimbursed at the IRS rate.
Qualifications
- Candidates must have at least 5 years prior experience as a Hotel General Manager within Hilton, Marriott and/or IHG.
- Strong Hilton and/or IHG experience required.
- Must be good with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook. This is largely a computer-based job.
- Ability to travel regularly to hotel properties. Ability to remain at hotels for many days/weeks when serving as an interim GM.

Requirements:
- United States work authorization is required
- High school required
- No criminal background and no drug use
- Must be able to provide references
- Must be able to work weekends and holidays.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Perform other duties as required.
This role requires the ability to move and lift up to 75 lbs. Standing, sitting or walking for extended periods of time and ensuring a professional demeanor, clear communication and appearance in a clean uniform are also required.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
