Position Summary : We are in search of a qualified and dedicated Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) Physician to conduct medical assessments for veterans. This position focuses solely on independent medical evaluations and does not involve treatment. You will assess veterans' medical needs by reviewing records, conducting detailed evaluations, and completing VA-provided Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) using a secure online platform. Your assessments will assist the VA in making informed disability decisions.
Key Responsibilities :
- Review and interpret veterans' medical records through a secure web portal.
- Conduct comprehensive, non-treating evaluations to accurately document current health conditions of veterans.
- Complete and submit DBQs based on VA-specific templates, ensuring all pertinent medical findings are captured.
- Ensure all DBQs are thorough, accurate, and submitted within 24 hours post-assessment.
- Assess up to four veterans daily.
Schedule : 2 days / week in person, with additional telehealth days available.
