Job Description:
Disability Assessments for Veterans
In this role, you will conduct Disability Assessments on Veterans, reviewing medical records electronically through a web portal and performing in-person physical exams.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Review medical records and exam findings to complete questionnaires and form medical opinions
- Analyze data to determine the extent of disability
- Electronically document exam findings using the VA's web portal
Important Notes:
- This position does not make disability determinations; those are made by the United States Veterans Administration
- You will not treat or prescribe medication in this position
- Average 3-5 assessments per day, scheduled Fridays from 8am to 4pm
Requirements:
- Current and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license
- Ability to analyze data and stay on task
- Proficiency in computer use
- Meet credentialing requirements set forth by the VA
