Position Summary:
The Leasing Consultant will maintain a positive and professional attitude when interacting with team members, residents, prospective residents, and vendors while ensuring the cleanliness and inviting atmosphere of the leasing office is maintained. The primary responsibility is to effectively present the features and benefits of each community, striving for maximum occupancy through retention, current leasing availability, and pre-leasing of future availability.
Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional customer service to current residents, prospective residents, vendors, and colleagues.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting leasing office environment.
- Develop in-depth knowledge of the community to deliver a comprehensive and exceptional experience for current and prospective residents.
- Utilize feature and benefit selling techniques to determine the needs and preferences of current and prospective residents, leading to secured lease agreements.
- Respond to calls regarding leasing inquiries, resident concerns, and service requests.
- Complete lease applications, verifications, and maintain accurate lease documentation.
- Conduct regular inspections of models and vacant apartments to ensure cleanliness and presentation standards are met.
- Update online advertising and marketing materials as needed.
- Stay up-to-date on current market conditions and trends affecting the rental industry.
- Contribute innovative ideas for improving resident satisfaction and enhancing community marketing efforts.
- Participate in ongoing training and development programs provided by MRD Apartment University.
Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Six months of related sales experience or training desired.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Proven organizational and time-management abilities.
- Fundamental computer skills, preferably with experience using Microsoft Office, Yardi Voyager, and Rent Caf.
- Must pass a criminal background check.
- Demonstrate commitment to embodying MRD Apartments' core values daily.
