Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Construction Foreman/Operator to lead and manage construction projects from start to finish. This role combines hands-on operation of heavy machinery with supervisory responsibilities, ensuring that projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong construction site experience, excellent management skills, and a thorough understanding of construction management software and technical schematics. Your leadership will drive project success while maintaining strict adherence to safety protocols and budget constraints.
Duties
- Operate heavy machinery and equipment such as excavators, bulldozers, and loaders with precision and safety awareness
- Supervise daily construction activities, coordinating teams of workers, subcontractors, and vendors on-site
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate project execution
- Implement quality control measures to meet project specifications and safety standards in compliance with OSHA regulations
- Utilize construction management software like ProCore, Primavera P6, or HeavyBid to develop schedules, track progress, and manage budgets
- Monitor project timelines through detailed project scheduling and adjust plans as needed for optimal workflow
- Conduct site inspections using tools like ohmmeters and other diagnostic equipment to troubleshoot electrical or structural issues
- Manage contracts, procurement processes, and ensure all work aligns with contractual obligations
- Maintain accurate documentation including daily reports, safety logs, change orders, and inspection records
Experience
- Proven management experience supervising construction sites with a track record of successful project delivery
- Extensive hands-on construction site experience across various projects including pipelines or infrastructure work
- Strong familiarity with construction estimating tools and budgeting processes to control costs effectively
- Proficiency in construction management software such as ProCore, Primavera P6, Primavera P6 Enterprise Project Portfolio Management (EPPM), or HeavyBid
- Skilled in blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and technical troubleshooting
- Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and best practices for construction site safety compliance
- Supervising experience demonstrating leadership in managing teams and coordinating multiple trades on complex projects
- Ability to read technical drawings accurately while managing project schedules using Primavera P6 or similar tools
