- Greet guests warmly and manage reservations using OpenTable or similar systems to ensure seamless seating arrangements.
- Take accurate orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, and communicate effectively with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of food and beverages.
- Provide attentive table service by serving food and drinks, upselling menu items to enhance guest experience, and addressing guest inquiries promptly.
- Bus tables efficiently by clearing dishes, resetting tables quickly, and maintaining cleanliness standards in compliance with sanitation regulations.
- Support kitchen staff with food preparation tasks when needed, ensuring food safety and proper handling at all times.
- Manage cash handling responsibilities accurately through cashiering procedures while maintaining a friendly attitude towards guests.
- Assist with guest relations by resolving concerns professionally and ensuring every guest leaves satisfied.
- Proven experience in food service roles such as server, host/hostess, busser, or kitchen support within a restaurant or hospitality setting.
- Familiarity with POS systems including Aloha POS, Micros POS, and OpenTable for reservations and order processing.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and handle diverse situations gracefully.
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling techniques.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy shifts efficiently.
- Ability to upsell menu items confidently to increase sales while enhancing the guest experience.
- Experience in fine dining environments or nightclubs is a plus but not required; enthusiasm for hospitality is essential.
- Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction accuracy.
- Kitchen experience or culinary background is advantageous for supporting food prep and understanding menu offerings.
