MRA – The Management Association is seeking an On-Demand Background Checking Specialist to join our team. In this role, you’ll support member organizations by completing background research, verifying information, and ensuring accurate, timely results that help drive hiring decisions.
This role requires exceptional flexibility, strong communication skills, and the ability to balance multiple priorities while delivering outstanding service to both internal and external stakeholders.
Because this is an on-demand role, your workload will shift based on active member assignments, providing flexibility and adaptability throughout the day.

Responsibilities
- Conduct background research and verification using online tools and internal systems such as Google and Copilot
- Manage multiple cases at once while maintaining accuracy and turnaround times
- Communicate professionally with internal teams and external contacts
- Navigate and work efficiently across multiple platforms such as Salesforce, Microsoft Office, Teams, and other platforms
- Provide high-quality customer service to members requiring frequent communication
- Apply feedback and coaching to continuously improve performance
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for all assigned work
- Collaborate with team members while working independently to meet deadlines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Customer service mindset with strong professionalism
- Comfortable handling high-volume, detail-driven work
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Teams) and multiple systems
- Strong research and problem-solving skills
- Fast and accurate typing skills

- On-demand workload based on member needs and assignment volume
- Ability to manage shifting priorities and adjust workflow in real time
- Flexible schedule, split-shift work highly preferred
