Job Title:Heavy Equipment Operator
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating a variety of heavy machinery used in site development. The role requires strong attention to safety protocols, precision in equipment handling, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate heavy equipment such as bulldozers, excavators, scrapers, loaders, graders, and water trucks.
- Perform routine maintenance checks and report equipment malfunctions or needed repairs.
- Follow all safety procedures and regulations to ensure a safe work environment.
- Clear and prepare job sites and level ground for house foundations.
- Communicate with supervisors, truck drivers, and other crew members to coordinate work activities.
- Inspect equipment daily and perform daily maintenance
- Adhere to project schedules and deadlines while maintaining high work quality.
- Load and unload materials from trucks or transport equipment as required.
- Maintain cleanliness and security of assigned equipment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Proven experience operating heavy equipment in a construction or industrial environment.
- Valid driver’s license; CDL may be required for some roles.
- Strong understanding of equipment safety procedures and regulations.
- Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy materials and work in various weather conditions.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
Working Conditions:
- Outdoor work environment with exposure to extreme weather, noise, dust, and hazardous materials.
- Requires standing, bending, lifting, and operating machinery for long periods.
- Must wear appropriate PPE (personal protective equipment) at all times.
