The Assistant Manager is responsible for overseeing the store's daily operations, managing a team of associates, and ensuring excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in retail management, strong knowledge of market trends, and excellent organizational skills. Duties:
- Oversee daily operations of the shop, ensuring smooth and efficient functioning
- Manage a team of sales associates and provide guidance and support as needed
- Monitor inventory levels and place orders to ensure adequate stock availability
- Create and implement sales strategies to drive revenue and meet targets
- Provide exceptional customer service and resolve any customer complaints or issues
- Train new employees on company policies, procedures, and product knowledge
- Maintain a clean and organized shop environment
Experience:
- Previous experience in retail management, preferably in a similar industry
- Strong knowledge of market trends and customer preferences
- Proficiency in using point-of-sale (POS) systems for sales transactions
- Demonstrated ability in shift management, including scheduling and assigning tasks
- Familiarity with cash handling procedures and ability to reconcile cash registers
- Proven organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
- Experience conducting interviews and hiring new employees
Must be able to work Saturdays 9:30-5, and 4 days during the week with some evening hours.
