Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and customer-oriented Retail Sales Clerk to join our team. This is a family owned retail/wholesale business, selling tools-housewares-general merchandise for the past 45 years. The ideal candidate will be a dependable, friendly, and motivated individual who enjoys working with the public and is passionate about providing excellent service. You will also be asked to help in the warehouse when needed.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide outstanding customer service to meet their needs effectively.
- Maintain a high level of product knowledge to answer questions and make tailored recommendations.
- Perform sales transactions accurately and efficiently using a cash register and a credit card machine.
- Stock shelves, organize displays, and ensure merchandise is well-presented and replenished regularly.
- Maintain store cleanliness and organization through stocking, merchandising, and general tidying of the bins and sales floor.
- May need some assistance from time to time consisting of lifting, loading & unloading trucks, as well as assisting with warehouse inventory.
Qualifications
- Previous retail sales experience preferred.
- Familiarity with cashiering.
- Basic math for accurate transactions and computer skills.
- Strong customer service orientation with a friendly, approachable demeanor.
Flexibility to work various shifts. Store hours: Mon-Sat 9AM to 6PM and Sun 9AM to 5PM.
