We are seeking an enthusiastic and personable Farmers Market Vendor to represent Mr. Stew Sauce at local farmers markets. The ideal candidate will be passionate about food, excellent at engaging with customers, and committed to promoting our delicious line of sauces. This position offers the opportunity to connect with the community while showcasing our unique flavors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Booth Setup & Maintenance: Set up an attractive and inviting booth that highlights the Mr. Stew Sauce brand, ensuring all products are well-displayed and stocked.
- Customer Engagement: Greet and interact with customers warmly, providing them with samples and detailed information about our sauces, including ingredients, flavors, and suggested uses.
- Sales Transactions: Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately and efficiently, maintaining a record of daily sales.
- Product Knowledge: Stay informed about our product offerings, including the benefits of each sauce and recipe suggestions, to effectively communicate this information to customers.
- Promotional Activities: Participate in tastings, cooking demonstrations, and other promotional activities to enhance customer interest and drive sales.
- Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels and manage inventory to ensure a consistent supply of products at each market.
- Compliance: Adhere to food safety regulations and best practices while handling and serving products to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for customers.
Qualifications:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
- Previous experience in retail or food sales is preferred, but not required.
- Enthusiasm for food, cooking, and local ingredients.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and stand for extended periods.
- Must be available for weekend work and early morning set-ups.
