About the Opportunity
Mr. Rooter Plumbing is looking for a strong Plumbing Service Manager to lead and grow our plumbing and drain division.
This is not a desk-only management position. We need a hands-on leader who understands service plumbing, knows how to coach technicians, can manage daily operations, and has the ability to drive revenue while protecting customer experience and company standards.
The right person will oversee service technicians, drain technicians, dispatch coordination, customer experience, callbacks, training, performance, and overall department execution. You will be expected to lead from the front, hold people accountable, and help build a high-performance service team.
This is a major leadership role with a well-established plumbing company. We are looking for someone who wants to make an impact, build a strong team, and be part of a company that is serious about growth.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
The Plumbing Service Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day performance of the plumbing and drain division, including:
- Leading, coaching, and developing plumbing and drain technicians
- Managing department performance, revenue, conversion rates, callbacks, and customer satisfaction
- Helping technicians improve communication, professionalism, technical skill, and sales performance
- Reviewing jobs, estimates, invoices, callbacks, and customer concerns
- Working with dispatch and customer service to keep the schedule moving efficiently
- Holding technicians accountable to company standards, safety, appearance, communication, and workmanship
- Riding along with technicians in the field when needed
- Supporting hiring, onboarding, and training of new technicians
- Helping reduce callbacks, warranty issues, missed opportunities, and customer complaints
- Making sure jobs are properly documented in ServiceTitan
- Identifying operational problems and helping create practical solutions
- Building a culture of accountability, urgency, professionalism, and pride
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is someone who has already been successful in plumbing service leadership or is a top-performing plumbing professional ready to step into a serious leadership role.
You should be:
- Experienced in residential and/or light commercial service plumbing
- Strong at leading technicians and holding people accountable
- Comfortable managing revenue, KPIs, job performance, and customer experience
- Able to coach technicians on both technical work and customer communication
- Confident handling escalated customer issues
- Organized, direct, and professional
- Able to work with dispatch, office staff, technicians, and ownership
- Strong under pressure and able to make decisions quickly
- Proficient in ServiceTitan or able to learn it quickly
- Focused on building a winning team, not just managing tasks
A Master Plumber license is preferred, but not required for the right leader.
ServiceTitan experience is strongly preferred.

This is not the right fit if you:
- Do not like holding people accountable
- Avoid difficult conversations
- Are not comfortable reviewing numbers and performance
- Blame dispatch, customers, technicians, or the market instead of solving problems
- Are not willing to get involved in the field when needed
- Cannot handle a fast-paced service environment
- Do not take pride in communication and customer experience
- Are looking for a low-pressure management job
We are looking for a leader, not a babysitter.
What We Offer
- $100,000–$150,000 annual compensation, depending on experience
- Leadership role with real authority and impact
- Established brand and customer base
- Strong opportunity for growth
- Company support, systems, and resources
