Accounting Officer

Mr. Rooter Plumbing of Colorado is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Accounting Officer to support day-to-day accounting operations, including invoice review, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll support, journal entries, and maintaining accuracy within operating systems.

This position is ideal for someone who is organized, accurate, comfortable working in QBO, and able to serve as a reliable resource for day-to-day accounting questions.

Responsibilities

• Review invoices for accuracy, proper documentation, and correct G/L account coding.
• Run audit-related invoice reports to ensure accuracy of G/L accounts and expense classifications.
• Support accounts payable processes, including invoice review, coding, tracking, and discrepancy resolution.
• Support accounts receivable processes, including payment tracking, customer account review, and follow-up support.
• Assist with payroll commission tracking and supporting documentation.
• Prepare and assist with journal entries as needed.
• Maintain accurate records in QuickBooks Online and help ensure account information is current and properly categorized.
• Support accounting questions related to accounts receivable, accounts payable, expense tracking, and general ledger activity.
• Work with management and accounting teams to identify discrepancies and resolve issues in a timely manner.
• Maintain confidentiality with employee, payroll, and financial information.

Qualifications

• Prior payroll, bookkeeping, accounting, or administrative finance experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Experience with QuickBooks Online desired.
• Comfortable running reports, reviewing calculations, and identifying discrepancies within Excel.
• Understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger account coding preferred.
• Ability to manage confidential information professionally.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• ServiceTitan experience is helpful but not required.
• Ability to work independently while also supporting a team environment.
