Position Overview
As a DSP, you’ll serve as a steady, reliable presence—helping individuals build independence, confidence, and real‑world life skills. This role is well‑suited for someone who values responsibility, consistency, teamwork, and making a measurable difference each day.
Key Responsibilities (Active, Hands‑On Role)
- Assist with personal care, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and hygiene
- Perform light housekeeping and laundry to maintain a safe and clean environment
- Prepare and serve meals and snacks; assist with grocery shopping and meal planning
- Accompany individuals to medical appointments and community outings (e.g., movies, mall, swimming)
- Administrate of medication, following established protocols
- Document daily services and observations using a computer
- Build strong, respectful relationships and provide consistent emotional support
- Implement individualized care plans tailored to each person’s unique needs
- Lead and participate in structured activities that promote confidence, social skills, and personal growth
- Maintain a safe, structured environment by following safety procedures and best practices
- Collaborate with families, healthcare providers, and social workers to support comprehensive care
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Ability to pass a criminal background check
- Reliable, compassionate, and respectful of individual needs
- Caregiving experience is helpful but not required

- Morning: 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM
- Afternoon: 2:00 PM – 8:00 PM
- Graveyard Shift: Monday–Sunday, 8:00 PM – 8:00 AM
