Duties
- Greet customers warmly and provide excellent customer service
- Operate POS systems efficiently for sales transactions, cash handling, and refunds
- Conduct product demos to educate customers about features and benefits
- Assist with merchandising, stocking shelves, and maintaining store displays
- Upsell products to maximize sales opportunities while ensuring customer satisfaction
- Manage inventory levels and assist with stock replenishment
- Ensure proper cashiering procedures including basic math calculations and retail math accuracy
- Maintain clean and organized work areas, adhering to safety standards
- Use phone etiquette when assisting customers via phone or online inquiries
- Support supervising staff in daily operations as needed
Experience
- Prior experience in retail sales, grocery store, or similar customer service roles preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures
- Experience in supervising or leading a team is a plus
- Ability to perform retail math accurately for transactions and inventory management
- Bilingual skills are highly desirable to serve diverse customer bases
- Strong communication skills, including effective phone etiquette and interpersonal interactions
- Demonstrated ability to upsell products and promote store merchandise effectively
