Responsibilities
- Perform manual handling tasks such as lifting, carrying, and positioning materials and equipment safely and efficiently.
- Support erosion control measures by installing barriers, silt fences, and other protective structures to prevent soil erosion during construction activities.
- Operate power tools and basic equipment under supervision, ensuring proper use and maintenance for optimal performance.
- Follow all workplace safety protocols, including implementation of OSHA safety standards, to maintain a secure work environment for all team members.
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment, perform minor repairs, and report any mechanical issues promptly for maintenance or repair.
- Support heavy lifting tasks with proper techniques to prevent injuries and promote workplace safety at all times.
- Help implement erosion control strategies on-site to protect surrounding environments during construction projects.
- Maintain clear communication with team members regarding project progress, safety concerns, and technical requirements.
Experience
- Previous experience in industrial or construction environments is preferred but not required; on-the-job training will be provided.
- Help perform set ups and tear downs of mobile offices .
- Knowledge of construction workplace safety regulations, including OSHA standards, is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in accordance with safety regulations.
- Mechanical knowledge or experience with equipment repair is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Strong work ethic with a focus on safety, teamwork, and continuous learning in a fast-paced environment.
