Mr. K's was opened in July of 2010 by the Wilson Management group, and was sold shortly after opening to Scott & Lindsey Sieben in December of 2010. Scott has over 15 years in the restaurant business and was born and raised in Manhattan , KS. He graduated from Kansas State 2008 with a degree in Hotel & Restaurant Management.
In 2018, they purchased Kite's Bar & Grill to keep it a K-State tradition. They saw the need for a local restaurant and bar on the west side of town that offered a unique menu that wasn't bar food. They chose to eliminate the use of a fryer and focus on fresh and different food. In 2015 they purchased a food truck to have a ability to take their food on the road. The mobile kitchen can be seen on K-State campus and around Manhattan.
- Welcoming and sitting diners comfortably in the dining section
- Taking customers' food and drink orders
- Collaborating with the kitchen and bar staff for prompt and correct delivery of orders
- Memorizing the menu and recommend appetizers, meals and drinks from restaurant wine stock
- Delivering a memorable dining experience by resolving all customer issues promptly
- Assisting with the tidying of tables, clearing leftovers and keeping the dining area neat and pleasant
- Setting tables and rearranging the dining area to accommodate larger groups and prepare the restaurant for special events
- Ensuring cooking utensils and kitchen area are cleaned after closing to comply with state regulations
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $2.15 - $20.00 per hour
