Position Summary
The Store Manager is responsible for overseeing all day-to-day operations, managing staff across multiple shifts, maintaining food safety and inventory controls, and ensuring an excellent customer experience. The ideal candidate is assertive, organized, and capable of leading by example in a fast-paced food service environment.
Required Qualifications:
- Proven experience managing staff in a food service environment
- Prior food service experience required; pizza restaurant experience preferred
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Experience creating weekly employee schedules
- Ability to train, coach, discipline, and terminate employees as needed
- Knowledge of food safety requirements and compliance standards, as well as a current food handler certificate
- Experience taking weekly inventory and placing orders with multiple vendors
- Ability to accurately handle cash, prepare daily deposits, and verify close-out reports
- Work hours are generally between 10:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m.; flexibility increases once restaurant is operational and fully staffed
- Ability to work up to 40 hours per week
- Comfortable using a POS system and training employees on its use
- Must be assertive, dependable, and able to take charge
- Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and occasional deliveries
- Valid driver’s license and current auto insurance required
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds without assistance
- Willingness to a hands-on team player
- Candidate must be willing to train at an out-of-town store location for five (5) days
- Must be able to pass a drug screen and a background check upon hiring
Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Manage staff across multiple shifts, including hiring, training, performance management, and discipline
- Develop and manage weekly employee schedules
- Train new employees on all store positions and procedures
- Step in to perform any store position as needed during short staffing or peak periods
- Maintain accurate inventory of food, supplies, and consumables
- Place vendor orders accurately and on time
- Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards
- Handle customer concerns, complaints, and service recovery
- Prepare daily cash deposits and verify daily close-out paperwork
- Count and reconcile cash drawers accurately
- Ensure the store is properly cleaned and organized daily
- Learn and perform all store positions to ensure operational continuity
- Enforce company policies, food preparation standards, and operational guidelines
