We are seeking a skilled and reliable Home Improvement Technician to join our team. This role involves performing a wide range of renovation, repair, and installation projects across residential and commercial properties. Responsibilities
- Execute home improvement tasks including framing, drywall installation, painting, flooring, tile laying, and cabinetry.
- Perform plumbing and electrical work as needed, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately complete projects.
- Operate power tools, hand tools, heavy equipment, and fabrication machinery safely and efficiently.
- Install fixtures such as doors, windows, cabinets, glass panels, and hardware.
- Conduct restoration work including stucco application, plastering, masonry, and concrete finishing.
- Manage construction site safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.
- Collaborate with project managers to estimate costs using construction estimating techniques and ensure project timelines are met.
- Inspect completed work for quality assurance and adherence to specifications.
- Assist in the operation of heavy equipment when necessary for site preparation or material handling.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of construction management principles and site supervision.
- Experience with construction estimating to accurately assess project costs.
- Skilled in construction inspection to ensure quality standards are maintained.
- Expertise in plumbing, electrical systems, roofing, masonry, carpentry (including trim carpentry), framing, drywall installation, flooring (including tile laying), concrete forming and finishing.
- Ability to operate power tools such as saws, drills, grinders; hand tools; fabrication equipment; heavy machinery; scaffolding; and glass installation tools.
- Familiarity with schematics for electrical or plumbing systems.
- Experience in restoration projects involving plastering, stucco application, caulking, fixture installation, hardscape development, welding, remodeling tasks.
- Knowledge of blueprint reading for accurate project execution across various trades.
