Duties
- Assist with food preparation, including chopping, assembling ingredients, and following recipes to ensure quality standards are met
- Support cooking activities by handling various kitchen equipment and maintaining proper food handling procedures
- Perform manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting of supplies, ingredients, and kitchen equipment using safe lifting practices
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area by bussing tables, cleaning surfaces, and disposing of waste appropriately
- Operate POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS for serving food and processing orders accurately
- Ensure food safety standards are upheld through proper storage, sanitation, and temperature control practices
- Collaborate with team members to deliver excellent guest services and ensure smooth restaurant operations
Qualifications
- Prior experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are essential
- Knowledge of food handling, safety procedures, and kitchen operations is advantageous
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle manual tasks efficiently
- Strong communication skills to coordinate with team members and interact positively with guest
