Furniture Worker

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Furniture Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in carpentry and construction, with the ability to work with various materials and tools. This role involves the fabrication, assembly, and installation of furniture pieces, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship and attention to detail. The Furniture Worker will also be responsible for collaborating with team members on various projects while adhering to safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate and assemble furniture according to specifications and blueprints.
• Utilize hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery effectively.
• Perform trim carpentry, frame carpentry, and cabinet installation tasks.
• Read and interpret schematics and construction drawings for accurate execution of projects.
• Conduct heavy lifting as required during the manufacturing and installation processes.
• Collaborate with other tradespeople on construction sites, ensuring seamless integration of furniture installations.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety standards.
• Assist in restoration projects including water damage restoration, mold remediation, and plastering as needed.
• Engage in additional tasks such as caulking, siding installation, roofing, flooring installation, and tile laying when required.

Requirements

• Proven experience in carpentry or related fields such as construction or manufacturing.
• Familiarity with construction estimating and blueprint reading is preferred.
• Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, CNC machinery, and other woodworking equipment.
• Experience in the restoration industry is a plus.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks on a regular basis.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Knowledge of various construction techniques including metal stud framing, electrical experience, plumbing, masonry, remodeling, fixture installation, rebar installation, concrete forming, and construction painting is advantageous.

Pay: $11.50 - $13.00 per hour
