We are looking for someone who understands that doing the job correctly means more than producing work that looks good.

All footings, foundations, block walls, concrete and masonry structures must be constructed according to approved plans and applicable City, County and local building-code requirements.

Our skilled tradespeople must be experienced enough to recognize when something in the field does not match the plans, specifications or code requirements. If something does not look right, we expect you to stop, communicate the concern and get clarification rather than simply proceeding.

Candidates must be comfortable using masonry hand tools and power equipment, including trowels, levels, hammers, chisels, masonry saws, mixers and other equipment commonly required for the trade.

OUR NON-NEGOTIABLES

CRAFTSMANSHIP

Our customers hire Mr. Fix It because they trust our reputation. You must take pride in your work and care about the finished product.

We expect our skilled tradespeople to produce work they are proud to put their name on because our company's name is going on it too.

PEOPLE SKILLS

Technical ability is extremely important, but so is how you treat people.

Our customers deserve to feel comfortable with the people working in and around their homes and businesses. You must be respectful, professional and able to communicate appropriately with customers.

TEAMWORK & ATTITUDE

Our team ALSO DESERVES to feel comfortable in the environment they work and bring their best to every day. You must be able to work well with owners, managers, supervisors, coworkers, and other trades.

We operate as a team and have built a close-knit work environment. Skill is important, but so are reliability, teamwork and a good attitude.

We are looking for someone who wants to become part of our team, not simply show up to a jobsite.

YOUR OWN TOOLS

Skilled tradespeople must have their own standard hand tools necessary to perform their trade.

Mr. Fix It will provide larger and specialized company equipment as appropriate, but applicants for this skilled position are expected to already own and maintain the normal hand tools associated with their trade.

VALID DRIVER'S LICENSE & ACCEPTABLE DRIVING RECORD

You must possess a valid driver's license and have a driving record acceptable to our commercial auto insurance carrier.

As part of the hiring process, candidates must authorize Mr. Fix It and/or its insurance carrier to obtain and review their Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).

Employment for positions requiring operation of company vehicles is contingent upon our insurance carrier determining that the employee is eligible to operate company vehicles.

BACKGROUND CHECK

Candidates must be willing to submit to a background check.

A criminal record does not necessarily mean automatic disqualification, but the safety and comfort of our CUSTOMERS IS OUR TOP PRIORITY! If you are concerned something may appear on your background check, we encourage you to discuss it with us.

Any determination will depend upon the circumstances, the nature of the position, and applicable employment requirements.

PRE-EMPLOYMENT DRUG SCREENING

Where required for the position, candidates must be willing to complete a pre-employment drug screening as a condition of employment and prior to a final offer/start date, in accordance with company policy and applicable law.

  • Following company and jobsite safety procedures at all times

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We aren't simply looking for someone who has "helped with concrete" or "done some block work."

We are looking for a skilled tradesperson who knows BOTH concrete AND masonry.

We want someone who can look at a project, understand what needs to happen, read the plans, properly prepare the work area, perform the work correctly, and produce a finished product they are proud to put their name on.

We also need someone who understands that QUALITY CONSTRUCTION involves doing things correctly even when the customer will never see what is underneath or behind the finished product.

We are a very BUSY company. Flexibility and fluidity ARE A MUST! You must be able to handle a chaotic day, week, or even month. You must be able to adapt if things change with very short notice.

If you have the experience, craftsmanship, reliability, people skills, and attitude we are looking for, WE WANT TO MEET YOU!
