Job Overview

We are seeking energetic and detail-oriented Yard Personnel to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing warehouse operations, handling materials efficiently, and operating various equipment to support our construction and excavation projects. Your proactive approach will ensure smooth logistics, safety compliance, and optimal inventory management across our yard.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts such as reach trucks, lift trucks, Hi-Lo, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and barcode scanners for logistics and materials handling
• Load and unload materials safely using heavy equipment while adhering to OSHA and warehouse safety standards
• Manage inventory through warehouse management systems, ensuring accurate tracking of materials and supplies
• Pick orders accurately using order picker techniques and manual handling methods to fulfill project needs
• Perform equipment repairs or report maintenance issues promptly to maintain operational efficiency
• Follow warehouse safety protocols including proper manual handling and heavy lifting techniques to prevent injuries
• Support shipping and receiving processes by verifying shipments, conducting barcode scans, and maintaining detailed logs

Experience

• Prior experience operating warehouse equipment such as reach trucks, forklifts (including lift truck and Hi-Lo), clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and material handling tools
• Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) for inventory control and order processing
• Familiarity with safety standards in production environments like OSHA regulations and forklift safety protocols
• Experience in warehouse distribution or logistics environments with a focus on shipping & receiving procedures
• Ability to perform basic math calculations related to inventory counts and measurements
• Demonstrated skills in warehouse operations including heavy lifting, manual handling, and materials management
• Warehouse supervisor experience or familiarity with warehouse management practices is a plus

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
