Role Description This full-time Electrician role is an on-site position based in Winter Garden, FL. The Electrician will perform residential and commercial electrical work, including installing, maintaining, and repairing wiring, fixtures, panels, and other electrical components. Daily tasks include diagnosing electrical issues, troubleshooting system failures, and completing service calls safely and efficiently. The role also involves reading and interpreting technical diagrams, adhering to local and national electrical codes, and documenting work performed. The Electrician will interact with customers, explain recommended solutions, and ensure that each job site is left clean, safe, and compliant.
Qualifications
- Strong foundational knowledge of electricity and electrical systems (minimum 2-4 years preferred) with the ability to apply safe work practices in varied residential and commercial settings.
- Hands-on experience with electrical work, including installation, upgrades, and system configuration for lighting, wiring, panels, and related components.
- Proficiency in maintenance & repair activities, such as inspecting systems, performing preventive maintenance, and completing timely corrective repairs.
- Effective troubleshooting skills to identify root causes of electrical issues, interpret test results, and implement appropriate solutions.
- Familiarity with electrical engineering concepts relevant to fieldwork, including load calculations, circuit design basics, and code requirements.
- Ability to use standard electrical tools and testing equipment, follow safety protocols, and work efficiently in varied indoor and outdoor environments.
- Reliable communication and customer service skills, with the capacity to explain technical information clearly and build trust with clients.
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited apprenticeship or vocational training program preferred.
- Ability to lift and move equipment, work from ladders or confined spaces, and maintain a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
